Moon measuring

Print Friendly

Welcome to our first post for 2017!

We discovered that if you went to the moon, you’d be able to take steps that were five times the length you can take on earth.  We decided to see just how far we could step if we went to the moon.  We measured how the distance we could take with one step, using string.  Then with chalk to mark the steps, we used our length of string to keep measuring until we could see how far five steps would take us.  What a huge step that would be!

    Dear Mrs W
It was exciting to find that a step on the moon was five big steps on earth.
