The Cat in the Hat was the motivation for this morning’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) activity. We read the Dr Suess book and then the boys were given the challenge of using only red plastic cups and pieces of card to make the cat’s hat as tall as they could. This took lots of brain power and co-operation – it was fascinating to see all the different ideas. I think the highest hat was 12 cups tall before it toppled. Check out the photos below:
