We read the book Fox by Margaret Wild yesterday. Fox has some really interesting words in it – but some of them are really tricky! In groups of 3, we went through the book and wrote down all the words we didn’t understand.
Here are some of the words:
triumph
exults (even Mrs W had to check the dictionary for this one!)
despair
scorches
conversation
grief
gentle
By learning what these words mean, we are able to understand the book much better.
