We spent some time on Thursday building 3D objects using popsticks and playdough. We have learnt the names and features of several 3D objects – pyramids, prisms, cylinders, spheres and cones are some of them.
We know that 3D objects have faces, edges and corners (or vertices) on them. For example, a cube (which is also a prism) has 8 faces, 12 edges and 8 corners. The faces of 3D objects are 2D shapes such as rectangles and triangles.
