At our school, we spend a lot of time focusing on mental strategies to help calculate. We have just started working on the strategy of doubling. Being able to double numbers automatically can assist in many calculations so we have started our doubling by using some of Dr Paul Swan’s games. The video shows the fun to be had with doubling.
