Fund Raising for Perth Zoo

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Year 3 Superstars, along with the other Year 3 students at Bletchley Park, have made the Perth Zoo and endangered animals the focus for fundraising this year.  Our fabulous Miss Abercromby has spend lots of time with the class preparing them for the fundraising event.  The children came up with a number of suggestions for the fundraising event, then voted on them, with face painting being the most popular.  So, face painting it was!

The students planned the event, completed advertising posters, and publicised the face painting really well.  They created their own designs on paper first, so that customers had a range of choices.  They also completed a series of money activities in the time leading up to our fundraising event.

All the students in the class had a job to do.  Some were painters, some were cashiers, some were attention grabbers.  Everybody did an absolutely fantastic job!

The face painting was more popular than we could have imagined!  We had queues of children (and the occasional adult) waiting to have their faces painted.  We finally got through everybody and we were delighted to find that we had raised $234.55 for the Perth Zoo.  A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported us.
