Tennis
Tennis balls are as bright as green tree leaves
The court is roaring at the tennis court
It is the sound of a thunder storm
One a hot day they use their sweat bands
The spectators sit in very hot chairs
Watching tennis on a big plasma screen TV
Eating chips while watching Hewitt play.

My Dog
Mack is as brown as chocolate melting in your mouth
Swimming in the animals’ tub all summer
He loves playing in my nana’s room with Pop
He hates it when thunder smashes the house
He loves chewing holes in my clean socks
He loves watching cricket with Pop
He loves his juicy bones.

Autumn Leaves
Autumn’s leaves are as colourful as the rainbow
As warm as a heated pool
A beautiful forest where lions eat prey
Colder nights bring joy to people![]()
Brown leafy clothes all over your body
A leafy bed covered in fluffy quilts
Always watching the weather
Leaves eating all the mud on the road.

Motor bikes
Faster than a red flash of speed
Rubber burning off the tyres on the boiling hot race track
Motor bike engines roaring on Phillip Island
The light goes green on a hot Summer’s day
Riders changing back into normal clothes
Sat back on the couch watching the race
Eating pasta for dinner.
by Joshua
Summer
The Summer sun’s red rays shining through the blue sky
Summer is as hot as the sand on the beach
As boiling hot as the Sahara desert
Steaming sun is as hot as a hot fire place![]()
I wear a drenched singlet under the burning sun
I like down on my bed after a long burning hot day
I enjoy the air con flowing past while I watch T.V.
In Summer I eat slushies to cool down.

My Dog
Rosie is as brown as chocolate
She has several times the fun in Summer
She really likes it when Dad is home every Saturday
I love her like a cool breeze on a hot summer day
She wears a soft chocolate coat and a red choker
Loves sunbaking in the car
Watches absolutely no digital things
Loves canned food and leftovers.
